Spirits in Prison and the Settling of Debts

A couple of months ago, my daughter came to me asking a question about a specific passage in her bible.  As Yahweh’s timing would have it, I had just been re-examining such passage a few weeks prior. The passage is as follows:

1 Peter 3:18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: 19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; 20Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. 21The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

I am sure that many of you might be familiar with this passage, specifically with the explanation given the Yeshua/Jesus went to hell to preach to the spirits in prison, to what that exactly entailed many have speculated and created doctrines that are undoubtedly false. I had never been fully satisfied with such explanation, nor did it really make any sense to me. Like many other passages in the bible, sometimes we have to examine certain passages multiple times before we come to a complete understanding of it.  I had begun to re-examine this passage a few weeks or so before my daughter’s prompting and came to a solidifying explanation that satisfied my spirit through the Holy Spirit.

In a nutshell, I had responded back to my daughter that Noah was a type/shadow to Christ and that through his preaching, offered salvation to the world through the ark by which he was building. The ark itself represents Jesus as by the only means which we can be saved. Those who rejected such offer back then, perished in the flood, and likewise today will perish at the rejection of Jesus. C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Occultic Fantasy

Yahweh uses the innocence of children to reveal to us our spiritual blindness, yet oftentimes it is through that blindness that we corrupt our children’s innocence.

Matthew 18:2And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The writings of C.S. Lewis, as well as J.R.R Tolkien are especially nefarious in regard to corrupting the innocence of children as they are the primary audience. Both series are saturated in witchcraft, paganism, and mystic lore and I am fully convinced that both Lewis and Tolkin were very much intentional in who they were targeting within their audience through their writings.  Once children are desensitized to an area of sinful behavior the more innocence they lose. Eventually, those same children become adults that perpetuate the same cycle upon their own children. This is how sin, and sin cycles become generational. This is why Jesus/Yeshua took it quite seriously to those who put a stumbling block before children:

Matthew 18:6“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!

It is a great cause for concern when so many praise Lewis for being a follower of Christ, yet scripture says those who promote these kinds of writings/practices, especially aimed at children will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Revelation 21:8 – But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Through the writings of not only Lewis but Tolkien a great many have been lured into occult fantasy and promoting such work as being compatible with the bible. This desensitization into the occult and witchcraft has allowed Satan to get a stronghold in many professing believers lives, as well as entire congregations. Continue reading “C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Modesty and Elaborate Hairstyles

The outward manifestations of what we do physically, often represent the spiritual condition of our heart. How we dress, act, speak, and present ourselves is an expression of who we serve. For those who profess Christ, we are considered ambassadors. This means that how we represent ourselves is a reflection of the Kingdom of God, and our King.

2 Cor 5:20Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. Continue reading “Modesty and Elaborate Hairstyles”

The Birthright: Salvation and the Role of the Firstborn

“TO THE CONGREGATION OF THE FIRSTBORN, ENROLLED IN HEAVEN.” (Heb 12:23)

In ancient culture, the birthright served as an inherit blessing from father to eldest son, or the firstborn. When Abraham was promised a son or heir that would come from his body, the birthright was promised to Isaac, as he was to be the firstborn son. This would later become known as the “children of promise”, as those in Christ are considered the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promise.

Becoming heirs according to the promise (Gal 3:29) gives us the rights and privileges of the firstborn son. It is through the role of the firstborn in which we receive the blessing of the birthright, which is our inheritance to eternal life. When we are born again, we are fulfilling the role of the firstborn through the Body of Christ.

♦Colossians 1:18And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

♦Romans 8:29For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Who is the Israel of God?

If you were to ask such a question to the vast majority of Christians today, they would promptly respond that it is the political state of Israel created in 1948. In general, the average Christian would consider themselves to be the “church”, while separating Israel to a country in the middle east.

Though a doctrine called dispensationalism, there is a distinct separation between who the “church” is and who “Israel” is, and the majority are taught this within their congregations, and very few question it. Ever since the introduction of the Scofield Bible (1909), taught in seminaries nationwide, which separates church from Israel, not only has prophesy been manipulated, but it is quite an identity crisis, when all throughout Scripture the assembly of God, Israel, is always His people, a covenant people of God.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.16And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

Christmas Unwrapped: Why I No Longer Celebrate Christmas

To the average person, not much thought is given into why they do what they do, or why they believe what they believe. Most just go with the ebb and flow of society and culture, not questioning the traditions that they uphold.

The moment we begin to question something, we are confronted with two possible outcomes. One, if the information goes against everything that we were taught to believe was true, we set our hearts and minds to accept it and not to continue on in a lie. Two, if the information goes against everything that we were taught to believe was true, we set our hearts and minds to reject it, and continue on in a lie. To question why, and then act upon the outcome of that answer in the light of the truth, takes a great amount of fortitude and meekness. As followers of Christ, we are to uphold the truth, even if that makes us uncomfortable, and even if that means losing friends and family. This is the cost of following Yeshua/Jesus. This is what it means to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. (Joh 4:23-24)

The Light of the Bridegroom

AND THE LIGHT OF THE CANDLE SHALL SHINE NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE; AND THE VOICE OF THE BRIDEGROOM AND OF THE BRIDE SHALL BE HEARD NO MORE AT ALL IN THEE…” Revelation 18:23

The other day I made several beeswax candles, and as a novice in candle making, I have come to find the importance of not only wick placement, but also trimming. The wick needs to be trimmed short enough so that it not only has a more controlled flame, leaving the candle to burn slowly, but also prevents the candle from becoming a sooty mess.

As I was making these candles, I could not help but think on the spiritual implications this has in every professing believer’s life. That is how the Holy Spirit works, with both practical and spiritual applications.  When I finished, I stood in my kitchen looking upon the several beeswax candles I had made, I gently trimmed their wicks, and sat them on my kitchen counter.  The next day, I lit one, and watched the flame ignite.  Slowly the flame began to melt the wax and the sweet aroma of the candle begin to fill the air. It was quite satisfying.

When we are born again of the Spirit, we are likened to a lamp filled with oil, allowing the flame of the Holy Spirit to light our path before us. However, just as a flame flickers from the threat of the wind, and dances frantically to avoid being extinguished, so we must carefully protect that flame within us, from also being extinguished.

The Deception of the New Age Awakening through DNA

There is something I feel that I need to address as many have fallen into gnostic/false teachings and a false gospel of salvation having to do with a person’s DNA. I have seen several promoting this, to include many false prophets/teachers.

Have you heard or seen the following?

  • “Once you take the “jab” you will no longer have the DNA needed to enter the kingdom”
  • “He who controls the DNA controls salvation”
  • “Bless your DNA”

Folks, I have not only seen these exact statements, but many more that fall into such category.  I can with out a doubt tell you that it is new age anti-christ doctrine, that opposes the gospel.  I am going to go into the exact origin of such statements and how they are leading many people astray into New Age enlightenment to bring about a “Christ” awakening.

Joseph’s Dead Bones and Ezekiel 37

Hebrews 11:22By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites and gave instructions about his bones.

The other night as I was putting our girls to bed, we were having a discussion that led to the topic of bones. As I was bringing up the topic of the Israelites carrying the bones of Joseph out of Egypt, suddenly, like a rush of mighty water, the Holy Spirit, flooded my mind, giving me revelation on such being a foreshadow to the prophesy in Ezekiel 37, of the dry bones.

Why I No longer Vaccinate: A Veteran’s Story

As I sit here, staring at the screen, thinking of a possible engaging introduction to this blog post, I ponder on the title that I have chosen, thinking of my time back in the military, and the fresh aspirations I had as a young woman, 18, joining the US Air Force. Some of the memories are vivid, and some, just as the aging of time, slowly have faded from my mind.

I chose the above picture for this blog post because I see myself as as a young Airman, being held up by the wing of a C-130, dedicating my life to “service before self, and excellence in all that I do”, while all around me surrounds the dark clouds that I was seemingly unaware of.

The thought of a US government causing harm to it’s military members was never a thought that had entered my mind, as I was quite ignorant on the ways of the world, and the perpetual evil that lurked about within it’s shadows. Continue reading “Why I No longer Vaccinate: A Veteran’s Story”
