I want to start with a question. How are we to “Bless” the State of Israel?
In September of 2025 a joint press conference between the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and US President Trump, convened which addressed the “peace-plan” that Trump laid out to “end” the war in Gaza.
Netanyahu stated the following:
“Those who partner with us advance progress and security for their peoples. President Trump just said it. It’s also in the Bible. It says those who will bless you will be blessed and those who will curse you will be cursed. And that’s actually what is happening. We want the blessings. I think we’ve done a lot in the past two years to end the curse. We’re not finished, but we’ve done a lot.”
Netanyahu said this in regard to the US “blessing” Israel through this “peace-plan”, and that these are the blessings that Israel not only wants, but it is “biblical” in doing so. In order to “bless” Israel we must support them through their war efforts at all costs at the risk of being “cursed”. As ridiculous and unscriptural as it is, a vast amount of evangelical Christians also believe and support this. And we are not just talking about your regular church attendee, but also many prominent Christian “pastors” and “leaders”.
They all redefine what Genesis 12:3 means to suit the same ideology as mentioned by Netanyahu, a man who denies and rejects Jesus/Yeshua as the Messiah, because the overall idea, or theology, comes from the same spirit, which is the same spirt that rejects Christ. It seeks to completely remove the fulfilled prophesy of Jesus/Yeshua by replacing the blessing meant to turn us from our sins and faith in Jesus to supporting a physical nation’s warmongering efforts.
It is one of the most damning heresies I have seen that seeks to utterly destroy what Christ came to do.
♦Acts 3:25And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up His Servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.

I. Dispensationalism/Dual Covenant Theology
So, where does this belief come from?
Well, to begin, it is a belief that the Mosaic Covenant (or the Abrahamic Covenant) and New Covenant in some ways are still both functioning today, or both continued to function together at some point in time. There are some variations to this doctrine however its primary talons are deeply imbedded within dispensationalism.
Dispensationalism:
Dispensationalism is a theology that distinctly separates Israel and the church, and is primarily associated with eschatology, or the study of the “end times” in which physical Israel and Jews after the flesh still have a role to play in prophesy. This theology not only promotes two different plans of salvation with two different groups of people, but also that there is still a remaining covenant with Israel (or Jews) and a separate one with Christians, which is rightfully called “Dual Covenant Theology”.
Because of this the belief there is a constant distortion of Genesis 12:3, that the covenant made with Abraham in Genesis 12:3 applies to current physical Israel and Jews after the flesh and not fulfilled through Jesus. This is why the belief can be held by those who deny Christ, because they deny any fulfillment to Jesus or the New Testament.
From my blog “Who is the Israel of God“:
Though a doctrine called dispensationalism, there is a distinct separation between who the “church” is and who “Israel” is, and the majority are taught this within their congregations, and very few question it. Ever since the introduction of the Scofield Bible (1909), taught in seminaries nationwide, which separates church from Israel, not only has prophesy been manipulated, but it is quite an identity crisis, when all throughout Scripture the assembly of God, Israel, is always His people, a covenant people of God.
Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.16And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
I. What is Dispensationalism?
For brevity’s sake, I am only providing a short overview on the doctrine of dispensationalism. I feel that it is important to touch on, for those who may not be familiar with such terminology or teaching, as well as providing understanding on where this separation of Israel and the church got its running start in doctrinal teaching.
A summary from 5 Minute Church History:
Dispensationalism is a movement in theology that began in the 1800s and came on strong in the 1900s. The story of dispensationalism begins with John Nelson Darby. He was born in 1800 in Westminster, London, but his family roots were Irish, so when he came of age to go to college, he was sent to Trinity College, Dublin. He excelled as a student there and won the Classics Prize. That skillset would come in handy for him later. He would be involved in translating the Bible into German, Dutch, and French. He even had his own English translation of the complete Bible. Darby died in 1882.
He’s known for two things. He was one of the early founders in what is called the Plymouth Brethren Church, and he was the father or founder of dispensationalism, which came about in the 1830s and 1840s. There are four significant features to dispensationalism that Darby began and then were further developed by others. The first is to see a distinction between Israel and the church. Prior to dispensationalism, the understanding was that there is one people of God. We could call it covenant theology. And there is a connection between Israel and the church. But Darby made a distinction between those two, teaching there are two peoples of God, as it were. He taught that God had a distinct and unique plan for Israel, and a distinct and unique plan for the church.
The third thing that popularized dispensationalism was the Scofield Reference Bible, named for Cyrus Ingerson Scofield, who was born in 1843 and died in 1921. He used the dispensations as the framework to understand the Bible and its structure, and he applied that dispensational hermeneutic to texts. Scofield also put forth the dispensational distinction of a separation between Israel and the church.
Dispensational Premillennialism View:
This is by far the most widely accepted form of dual covenant theology, in that God still has a covenant with the Jews or Israel, and a separate covenant for the Gentiles/Nations. The view of separating who Israel is apart from who the Church is helps to establish this doctrine. Everything for a Dispensational Premillennist hinges on physical Jews and physical Israel.
This is also the driving force behind what is called “Christian Zionism”, the belief that the current land over in Israel holds a biblical mandate or a “divine right” belonging to those who identify as Jews. It supports the belief that Yahweh did not uphold or fulfill His promise given to Abraham, and the Israelites did not conquer all the land. Because of such, those who claim to be physical descendants today, can claim the promise of Abraham pertaining to the land, along with the political state of Israel, created in 1948.
From my blog “The Land of Promise“:
Such Zionist policies were perpetuated through the Scofield Reference Bible, which alters the context and prophesy of scripture in favor of Zionism. Cyrus Scofield, in a footnote to Deuteronomy 30:5 in his Reference Bible claims, ‘It is important to see that the nation has never as yet taken the land under the unconditional Abrahamic covenant nor has it ever possessed the whole land’ (Scofield Reference Bible, p. 250)
Obviously, this is diametrically opposed to what Scripture actually states, and was used specifically to promote the Zionist agenda.
“The Scofield Reference Bible was not to be just another translation, subverting minor passages a little at a time. No, Scofield produced a revolutionary book that radically changed the context of the King James Version. It was designed to create a subculture around a new worship icon, the modern State of Israel, a state that did not yet exist, but which was already on the drawing boards of the committed, well-funded authors of World Zionism.”(The Zionist-Created Scofield Bible, By C. E. Carlson)
The belief that the Jews of today are “God’s chosen”, or “God’s elect” or that God/Yahweh still is in a covenant with Jews or physical Israel is to effectively bypass the cross of Christ, making the New Covenant null and void. To also state that God/Yahweh did not fulfill His promise to Abraham regarding the land is also calling Him a liar. The covenant with the people also regarding the land was not “unconditional” rather it was conditional based on the covenant requirements (Deut 4:22-26, Deut 30:16-18), which is why the Israelites were historically removed from the land.
I talk about this extensively in my blog “The Land of Promise“:
So, just as we see the promise fulfilled with Solomon, such was the physical land promise made with Abraham.
♦Joshua 21:43THUS THE LORD(YHWH) GAVE ALL THE LAND HE HAD SWORN TO GIVE THEIR FATHERS, AND THEY TOOK POSSESSION OF IT AND SETTLED IN IT. 44And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. 45NOT ONE OF ALL THE LORD’s(YHWH) GOOD PROMISES TO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL HAD FAILED; EVERYTHING WAS FULFILLED.
♦1 Kings 8:56″Blessed be the LORD(YHWH), who has given rest to His people Israel according to all that He promised. NOT ONE WORD HAS FAILED OF ALL THE GOOD PROMISES HE MADE THROUGH HIS SERVENT MOSES.
♦Jeremiah 32:21And hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with great terror;22AND HAST GIVEN THEM THIS LAND, WHICH THOU DIST SWEAR TO THEIR FATHERS TO GIVE THEM, a land flowing with milk and honey;23AND THEY CAME IN, AND POSSESSED IT; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:
♦Nehemiah 9:8You found his heart faithful before You, and made a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites and Hittites, of the Amorites and Perizzites, of the Jebusites and Girgashites, to give it to his descendants. YOU HAVE KEPT YOUR PROMISE, BECAUSE YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS.
There was never an unconditional agreement to the land:
♦Joshua 23:16If you transgress the covenant of the LORD(YHWH) your God, which He commanded you, and go and serve other gods and bow down to them, then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you will quickly perish from this good land He has given you.”
♦Jeremiah 25:5 The prophets told you, ‘Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways and evil deeds, and you can dwell in the land that the LORD(YHWH) has given to you and to your fathers forever and ever.
Dual Covenant Theology:
Quoted from: Monergism.com “Dual Covenant Theology“:
History of Dual Covenant Theology
1.Post-Holocaust Theological Developments: Dual Covenant Theology gained some traction in the 20th century, particularly in response to the Holocaust and the desire to improve Christian-Jewish relations. In the aftermath of the Holocaust, some Christian theologians sought to distance themselves from historical supersessionism (the belief that the church has replaced Israel in God’s redemptive plan) and from any theology that might have been perceived as contributing to anti-Semitism. As a result, Dual Covenant Theology emerged as a way to affirm the ongoing covenant relationship between God and the Jewish people, while maintaining that salvation for Gentiles comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
2.Jewish-Christian Dialogue: Dual Covenant Theology has sometimes been promoted in the context of interfaith dialogue between Jews and Christians. Some Jewish theologians have found the concept appealing because it allows for the affirmation of their covenant relationship with God without the need for conversion to Christianity. Certain Christian theologians, particularly in more liberal Protestant circles, have embraced this idea to avoid the perception that Jews need to believe in Christ for salvation, thereby seeking to foster goodwill and respect between the two faiths.
3.Influential Figures: Franz Rosenzweig (1886–1929), a Jewish philosopher, is sometimes associated with early forms of Dual Covenant thinking. While not a Christian himself, Rosenzweig suggested that Jews and Christians have parallel paths to God—Jews through the Old Covenant and Christians through Christ. In more recent times, Christian figures like Reinhold Niebuhr and Rabbi Irving Greenberg have also been linked to ideas sympathetic to Dual Covenant Theology. However, it has been more prominently advocated by theologians on the liberal Christian spectrum, rather than within evangelical or conservative Christianity.
Theology of Dual Covenant Theology
The core idea behind Dual Covenant Theology is that there are two distinct and valid covenants by which people can be saved:
1. Two Separate Covenants:
-
-
-
- For Jews: Adherents of Dual Covenant Theology argue that the Jewish people have a continuing, valid covenant with God through the Mosaic Covenant (or the Abrahamic Covenant), and thus they do not need to accept Jesus as the Messiah to be saved. According to this view, Jews are saved by remaining faithful to their covenant with God, which is seen as still active and binding.
- For Gentiles: Gentiles, according to this theology, are saved through the New Covenant in Christ. This includes belief in Jesus as the Son of God and participation in the church as the body of Christ.
-
-
2. No Requirement for Jewish Conversion: Dual Covenant Theology teaches that Jews are not required to convert to Christianity or to accept Christ as their Savior. It maintains that God’s covenant with the Jewish people remains in force and is an equally valid means of salvation for them.
3. Avoidance of Supersessionism: One of the main motivations behind Dual Covenant Theology is a desire to avoid supersessionism, the belief that the church has replaced Israel in God’s redemptive plan. Adherents of Dual Covenant Theology reject the idea that the New Covenant in Christ has superseded or replaced God’s covenant with Israel.
Why Dual Covenant Theology is Heretical
Denial of the Universality of Christ’s Atonement: The central Christian teaching is that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation for all people, both Jew and Gentile. As Jesus Himself declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). The Apostles and the early church taught that Christ’s death on the cross was the once-for-all atonement for sin, available to all who believe in Him, regardless of ethnicity or covenantal background. Acts 4:12 states, “There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Dual Covenant Theology undermines this central truth by suggesting that Jews do not need Christ for salvation, contradicting the New Testament’s clear teaching that faith in Christ is necessary for all people.
Undermining the Gospel’s Inclusivity: The New Testament teaches that the gospel brings both Jews and Gentiles together in one new covenant, united in Christ. The Apostle Paul emphasizes in Romans 1:16 that the gospel is “the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Paul, himself a Jew, taught that Jesus fulfilled the promises made to Israel and that Jews and Gentiles alike must come to God through faith in Christ.
Ephesians 2:11-16 speaks of how Christ’s death has broken down the dividing wall between Jews and Gentiles, creating one new humanity in Him. By maintaining a separate path of salvation for Jews, Dual Covenant Theology rejects this key aspect of the gospel’s inclusivity and unity in Christ.
Rejection of the Fulfillment of the Old Covenant in Christ: According to historic Christian orthodoxy, Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant. The Old Testament points forward to the coming of the Messiah, and Jesus is the fulfillment of the law and the prophets (Matthew 5:17). The New Testament consistently teaches that the Mosaic Covenant was preparatory, and that it pointed forward to the coming of Christ, who established the New Covenant by His blood (Luke 22:20, Hebrews 8:13).
By suggesting that the Mosaic Covenant remains a separate and sufficient means of salvation for Jews, Dual Covenant Theology implicitly denies that Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Covenant and that the law finds its ultimate purpose and completion in Him.
The Apostolic Witness: The apostles, particularly Paul, were clear that Jews needed to place their faith in Christ for salvation. Paul consistently preached the gospel first to the Jews in the synagogues and then to the Gentiles. In Romans 10:1-4, Paul expresses his desire for the salvation of his fellow Jews and explains that they must believe in Christ for righteousness: “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.” Paul explicitly rejects the idea that Jews can be saved apart from faith in Christ, making it clear that salvation comes only through the gospel.
II. Genesis 12:3 The Blessing Through Abraham
One of the most commonly used verse that is used to support Dual Covenant Theology is from Gen 12:3, taking part of a promise/covenant to Abraham to apply to physical Israel and physical Jews today, when this scripture passage pointed to Jesus/Yeshua.
Peter is making a direct reference to Genesis 12:3, in which Yeshua/Jesus was the promised seed in which they shall be blessed:
“I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you; and all the families of the earth will be blessed through you.”
This is again confirmed by Paul in Galatians:
Gal 3:7Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
Ironically, as I have been writing this blog article, my daughter found a picture in the glove box of my car in which I had written instructions to a location on one side and a picture of an illustration I had drawn, some years back about two covenant theology. Take a look:
As you can see, this is the basic premise for this theology, the covenant made with Abraham bypasses the cross still leaving a covenant intact for Jews after the flesh, while the Covenant through Jesus created a separate covenant for Christians. Essentially creating two groups of people, with two different covenants. The bottom illustration represents the correct way to understand scripture, in that all the covenants and promises pointed and were fulfilled completely in Him. That Israel is a fulfillment Jesus/Yeshua and the Body of Christ.

From my blog “The Land of Promise“:
This is extremely important to point out, because ALL THE COVENANTS AND PROMISES MADE TO ABRAHAM, were to be fulfilled through Yeshua/Jesus, to include the inheritance to the land.
♦Rom 15:8For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to CONFIRM the promises (covenant) made to the patriarchs,
The land promise that was made with Abraham, was fulfilled, first in the physical, then in the spirit.
Gen 12:7And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, UNTO THY SEED WILL I GIVE THIS LAND: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.
♦Galatians 3:16THE PROMISES WERE SPOKEN TO ABRAHAM AND HIS SEED. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” MEANING ONE WHO IS CHRIST.
♦Galatians 3:18For if the INHERITANCE depends on the Law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God freely granted it to Abraham through a promise.19Why then was the Law given? It was added because of transgressions, UNTIL THE ARRIVAL OF THE SEED TO WHOM THE PROMISE REFERRED. It was administered through angels by a mediator.
What is important to understand here is looking back to when the original covenant with Abraham was confirmed with Yahweh, it was Yahweh who passed through the cut pieces of sacrificial offerings as a smoking furnace and burning lamp. This was to signify that He alone would confirm the covenant looking forward to Christ, and that there was no higher authority to do so.
♦Gen 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
From Gen 15:17 Commentary:
and passed between the halves of the carcasses
This action is part of an ancient covenant ritual known as a “covenant cutting,” where animals were split in half, and the parties involved would walk between the pieces. This act signified a binding agreement, with the implication that breaking the covenant would result in a fate similar to that of the animals. In this context, God alone passes between the halves, indicating that He is unilaterally committing to the promises made to Abram. This foreshadows the New Covenant through Jesus Christ, where God takes the initiative to fulfill His promises to humanity. The imagery of sacrifice and covenant here points to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ, who establishes a new and everlasting covenant through His death and resurrection.
Again, looking back at Galatians 3:16-18, the covenant that was made by Yahweh with Abraham was confirmed through Christ, and cannot be annulled.
Gal 3:17And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. 18For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

While I am not going to go in depth here, but the “law” that is being spoken of is the “Law of Moses” or the “Old Covenant”. The confirmed promises in Christ essentially apply the blood forward through Abraham, replacing what was initially a shadow, or to point to Christ. All the temple ordinances and sacrifices, Levitical priesthood, temporal kingdom etc. were elevated to a spiritual fulfillment through Jesus and the physical elements were taken away.
Hebrews 6:13For when God made a promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.” 15And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16For men indeed swear by the greater, and an oath for confirmation is for them an end of all dispute. 17Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, 18that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.
19This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.
The entire book of Hebrews illustrates this, but particularly these verses that pertain to the covenant that was made with Abraham, and that all these promises (decedents, land inheritance, and blessings) made were not only fulfilled physically but were to point to the greater fulfillment in Jesus.
When God made His promise to Abraham
This phrase refers to the covenant God established with Abraham, a foundational moment in biblical history. The promise included land, descendants, and blessings (Genesis 12:1-3). This covenant is pivotal as it sets the stage for the unfolding of God’s redemptive plan through Abraham’s lineage, ultimately leading to the coming of Jesus Christ. The promise is reiterated and expanded in Genesis 15 and 17, emphasizing its importance.
since He had no one greater to swear by
In ancient cultures, oaths were sworn by invoking a higher authority to guarantee the truthfulness of one’s word. God, being the supreme being, has no higher authority to appeal to. This highlights God’s ultimate sovereignty and the absolute certainty of His promises. The concept of swearing by a higher power is seen in various biblical contexts, such as in Matthew 5:33-37, where Jesus discusses the nature of oaths.
He swore by Himself
God’s self-swearing underscores the unchangeable nature of His promise. This act is unique and signifies the utmost seriousness and reliability of His word. In Genesis 22:16-18, God swears by Himself after Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice Isaac, reinforcing the promise of blessing and multiplication. This self-oath is a profound assurance to believers of God’s faithfulness and is echoed in other scriptures, such as Isaiah 45:23 and Philippians 2:10-11, where God’s word is depicted as irrevocable.
Notice, the last sentence, in which I have highlighted in bold. It is God’s Word that is irrevocable. Many like to use this as a stomping point to point out a specific verse in Romans 11, in which God’s covenants and promises are irrevocable, which is true, but not in the way they spin it, they try to spin it off as the covenants and promises made to physical Israel and physical Jews are as such, however, this is false, as the covenant and promises made to Abraham by which Yahweh swore Himself, foreshadowed the time in which a higher blessing and inheritance would come to those who “had faith as faithful Abraham”.
Galatians 3:26For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The idea that “blessing” the current state of Israel is by advocating unyielding support and not allowing to criticize anything that the government does is completely opposed to the way in which the blessing should come, which is by preaching the gospel. To take the fulfilled promises off of Jesus and onto a physical nation and physical people is a form of denying Christ, which is anti-Christ.
Looking back again at Netanyahu’s quote: “Those who partner with us advance progress and security for their peoples.
We can see that he wants the “blessing” of the unyielding support from the US, but not the actual fulfillment of such blessing mentioned in Gen 12:3 as fulfilled through Jesus and turning people from their sins:
♦Acts 3:25And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up His Servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
♦Gal 3:7Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, “In you all the nations shall be blessed.” 9So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
If the blessing from Genesis 12:3 comes through Jesus, then those who reject such a blessing, are those who are cursed.
1 Cor 16:22If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!
Yahweh will not be mocked, those who continue to replace the fulfilled promises of Jesus on a physical state and physical people, and reject His blessing by doing so, will come under a curse as this is a false gospel and the true definition of “replacement theology”.
Galatians 1:6I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
Those who deny Christ, Like Netanyahu are anti-christ, and deny the prophesies fulfilled in Christ:
1 John 2:22Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. 23Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
So, it would be fitting for Netanyahu to speak of scripture that does not have fulfillments in Christ, but yet this is the same interpretation that many prominent “Christian” leaders have as well. Genesis 12:3 is constantly distorted and passed through the echo chamber of many prominent Christian “leaders” and “pastors” while their fledglings follow along echoing it tandem.
Prominent evangelical “pastor” Greg Locke holds to this view as Netanyahu, even when confronted with warranted criticism from Owen Shroyer on INFOWARS.
If you begin watching at 7:28 Greg states, the following:
“Obviously, I think we need to be America first. But I also understand the fact that God says that America will be blessed if we do stand with (Israel) to some great degree”
The conversation continues with the host (Owen) challenging that position and stating how America is “blessed” (7:51-8:28):
“So, so how can we claim that we’ve been blessed for supporting Israel all these years when clearly America has suffered since we’ve been suffered because we’ve had some lousy leadership. No doubt about that. But, but they all supported Israel as far as the politics. They all supported Israel. Every single one of them….So, I’m just saying there is no proof to say that US supporting Israel has blessed a country.”
Clearly without proper biblical knowledge, Greg Locke, is unable to properly refute this answer, or even articulate how America is “blessed” through supporting the State of Israel, and just fumbles through word slop (8:28-8:56):
GL: “Well, I don’t believe that. I think that’s crazy. We are the most economic superpower of the world. As far why aren’t my cities better than the cities in the Gulf nation states? Because we have bad leadership. That’s not an because our leadership puts Israel first. I don’t believe that. No, that’s not true.”
OS: “But this is what you’re arguing. You’re saying we because we support Israel, it’s blessed America. But now you’re saying America’s not blessed because of our bad leadership that supports America.”
GL: “No, America’s blessed. There’s no way around that. We’re a superpower, you know, politically. We’re a superpower economically. We’re a superpower militarily.”
Continuing on Locke states that God/YHWH has a continued covenant with Jewish people (9:21-9:32)
“God is going to bring every nation that fights Israel and that does not stand for the covenant of the Jewish people, not their government, right? God’s not in a covenant with Netanyahu and the government of Israel. He’s in a covenant with the people of Israel.”
This statement does not even make any sense as Locke tries to separate the “people of Israel” from the government of “Israel” and the “leader of Israel”. If indeed this was Biblical Israel, then such would be a theocracy, meaning it is a nation that governs itself through divine authority. This is why there were specific laws on how the nation of Israel was to govern the people and the land. There was no distinction between the government and the people of Israel by which God had a covenant with.
They were a kingdom, which later became two kingdoms, but none the less, they were still a kingdom. This was completely flipped on its head when Jesus declared that “His Kingdom is NOT of this world” (Joh 18:6) nullifying the prospect of a continuing earthly kingdom, and by which those in the New Covenant now became those of the Kingdom of God, a HOLY NATION.
♦Deut 14:1“You are the children of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves nor shave the front of your head for the dead. 2For you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
♦1 Peter 2:9But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Now, if we are considered a holy nation, what Nation would that be called?
At any rate, Locke’s overall comment bypasses the fulfillment that Jesus/Yeshua made a New Covenant by which no one can have a covenant with the Father apart from the Son. As quoted earlier this is heretical as it promotes that Jews have salvation apart from accepting Jesus as the Messiah.
John 14:6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
Not only that but the apostle Paul stated that a Jew is not one outwardly, but inwardly:
Romans 2:28For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.
Which would mean that the only “Jew” that can have a covenant or relationship with the Father are those who are in Christ.
Another recent example is from another “pastor” Jack Hibbs responding to a recent interview between Senator Ted Cruz and Tucker Carlson. Cruz, another “leader” who not only distorts Genesis 12:3, but in the interview with Carlson, doesn’t even know where it is in the bible. Take a quick listen:
What is interesting in this interview, which I actually did take the time to watch the whole thing, but this clip, just like when Greg Locke was confronted by Owen Shroyer, end up giving word slop explanations, and can’t even define what it actually means to “Bless Israel”. He is stating a verse, which isn’t even stated correctly, and providing his own interpretation, without even knowing where it is in the bible. And people, like Jack Hibbs, actually validate what he says.
I suppose at least with Netanyahu, he states that to “bless” Israel you need to support their war efforts, but yet, when you even ask people who regurgitate this verse without actually having any knowledge of it, how or what it actually means to “bless” Israel, they will either have no idea or come up with any and all excuse to justify evil behavior coming from the Israeli government, the IDF in what it means to “bless” them. I find this to be not only morally bankrupt, but insane.
But, yet here again we have the same lies being reiterated and told again and again, here with “pastor” Jack Hibbs.
From Charisma.com:
“In defense of Cruz’s paraphrase of Genesis 12, Hibbs quoted directly from the passage: “Now the Lord had said to Abram, ‘Get out of your country… I will make you a great nation… I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.’”
Hibbs went on to affirm that this blessing applies not only to Abraham’s descendants, but also to the modern state of Israel. “A nation is a government. A government is a nation. That’s why the Bible says God establishes nations, governments, kings, rulers and leaders.”
His message is clear: support for Israel isn’t about politics, personalities or popular opinion; it’s about aligning with God’s eternal covenant and prophetic plan.”
While these comments are such an inversion of truth, I can’t help but think of the quote that says, “when a lie is told often enough it becomes the truth”. And so many people turn to these “pastors” and “leaders” while they themselves are blinded to the truth. It is the blind leading the blind, and in the end they both fall into the ditch. (Mat 15:14)
It is tragic, even pastors that I greatly respected and have even share their material previously in my blogs, I can no longer do so, as they have become false teachers for upholding this same doctrine.
Any pastor, preacher or teacher who is taking scripture out of context to such a degree that it takes the fulfillment off of Jesus and the gospel is a false teacher. Flat out. They are either intentionally deceiving you, or is completely unqualified to teach the scriptures, as this is a very basic understanding of the covenant and promise fulfillment through Jesus. This is not a light matter, to take the fulfilled promises off of Jesus and onto a physical nation and physical people as it is idolatry, and form of denying Christ, which is anti-Christ. They need to repent, and if you are following them and not having read the scriptures for yourself, need to also repent.
So how are we to bless the State of Israel? By sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and having them turn from their sins!
