Blessed Are Those Who Bless the State of Israel: The False Doctrine of Dual Covenant Theology

I want to start with a question. How are we to “Bless” the State of Israel?

In September of 2025 a joint press conference between the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and US President Trump, convened which addressed the “peace-plan” that Trump laid out to “end” the war in Gaza.

Netanyahu stated the following:

“Those who partner with us advance progress and security for their peoples. President Trump just said it. It’s also in the Bible. It says those who will bless you will be blessed and those who will curse you will be cursed. And that’s actually what is happening. We want the blessings. I think we’ve done a lot in the past two years to end the curse. We’re not finished, but we’ve done a lot.”

Netanyahu said this in regard to the US “blessing” Israel through this “peace-plan”, and that these are the blessings that Israel not only wants, but it is “biblical” in doing so. In order to “bless” Israel we must support them through their war efforts at all costs at the risk of being “cursed”. As ridiculous and unscriptural as it is, a vast amount of evangelical Christians also believe and support this. And we are not just talking about your regular church attendee, but also many prominent Christian “pastors” and “leaders”.

They all redefine what Genesis 12:3 means to suit the same ideology as mentioned by Netanyahu, a man who denies and rejects Jesus/Yeshua as the Messiah, because the overall idea, or theology, comes from the same spirit, which is the same spirt that rejects Christ. It seeks to completely remove the fulfilled prophesy of Jesus/Yeshua by replacing the blessing meant to turn us from our sins and faith in Jesus to supporting a physical nation’s warmongering efforts.

It is one of the most damning heresies I have seen that seeks to utterly destroy what Christ came to do.

♦Acts 3:25And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up His Servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.

Who is the Israel of God?

If you were to ask such a question to the vast majority of Christians today, they would promptly respond that it is the political state of Israel created in 1948. In general, the average Christian would consider themselves to be the “church”, while separating Israel to a country in the middle east.

Though a doctrine called dispensationalism, there is a distinct separation between who the “church” is and who “Israel” is, and the majority are taught this within their congregations, and very few question it. Ever since the introduction of the Scofield Bible (1909), taught in seminaries nationwide, which separates church from Israel, not only has prophesy been manipulated, but it is quite an identity crisis, when all throughout Scripture the assembly of God, Israel, is always His people, a covenant people of God.

Gal 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.16And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

A Little Clear Up On Romans 11

There is a very big misunderstanding on not only Romans 11, but also that those who deny that Jesus is YHWH(LORD)/God are not our brothers and sisters, regardless if they profess to be Jewish, Muslim, Jehovah witness, Mormon, etc. Those who are in Judaism, just like those who are Muslim, do not serve the same God, and the Scriptures make this clear(1 Joh 2:22-23).

Paul wrote the book of Romans between 56-57AD (this was the 1st Century), and the two Israel’s he was talking about were ethnic Israel after the flesh(Ishmael) and spiritual Israel(Isaac). Paul was not initially writing to people in the 20th or 21st century, or concerning a physical nation called Israel that came about in 1948. (Please readA Tale of Two Israel’s Part 1 and Part 2 if you would like more insight and clarity pertaining to this)

Yeshua/Jesus was ALWAYS the FULFILLMENT of TRUE ISRAEL, and thus those grafted into Him are grafted into Israel of the SPIRIT. This is why we become “One Flesh” when we enter into covenant with Him(Eph 5:30), and become Israel.
