Passed Over, Our Kinsman Redeemer

(October 28, 2017)

During the first Passover, Yahweh(YHWH) had the Israelites put the blood of the Passover Lamb above their doorposts, so that they would not be killed.  It was YHWH Himself who passed over the door, proclaiming a future time when He would come in the flesh and shed His own blood, becoming our Kinsman Redeemer.

•Ex 12:23“And יהוה shall pass on to smite the Mitsrites, and shall see the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, and יהוה(YHWH)SHALL PASS OVER THE DOOR and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.

•Ex 12:27then you shall say, ‘It is the PASSOVER SLAUGHTERING OF יהוה(YHWH), who passed over the houses of the children of Yisra’ĕl in Mitsrayim when He smote the Mitsrites and delivered our households.’ ” And the people bowed their heads and did obeisance. (ISR 98)

It is YHWH who is called the Redeemer, and the Only Creator:

Isa 43:14Thus said יהוה, your —->Redeemer<—-, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, “For your sake I shall send to Baḇel, and bring them all down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships.
15“I am יהוה, your Set-apart One, Creator of Yisra’ĕl, your Sovereign.”

Well, what does Redeemer mean?

So, when Moses then proclaimed in:

Deut 18:15“יהוה your Elohim shall raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brothers. Listen to Him,

This was showing a Kinship. This is why Joseph was a type of Yeshua, because He was among His brethren. This is all type and shadows to YHWH coming in the flesh to act as a Kinsman; as it was the only possible Way to Redeem us from slavery, was to become like us in everyway:

Hebrews 2:17So in every way He had to be made like His brothers, in order to become a compassionate and trustworthy High Priest in matters related to Elohim, to make atonement for the sins of the people.(ISR 98)

Also, the Tav, meaning mark, sign, blood covenant, similar to the mark on the lintel of the doorpost, is symbolic of the blood of Yeshua; who is the Aleph and the Tav, the First and the Last(Rev 22:12-13), our Passover Lamb, and Kinsman Redeemer.

When Yeshua died, His blood ratified the Second(New) Covenant, that was foreshadowed from the first:

•Matthew 26:27And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; 28for this is My blood of the COVENANT, which is poured out for many for FORGIVENESS OF SINS.(KJV)

•Acts 20:28“Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Set-apart Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of Elohim which HE HAS PURCHASED(Act of the Kinsman Redeemer) WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.

•Romans 3:23for all have sinned and fall short of the esteem of Elohim,
24being declared right, without paying, by His favour through the redemption which is in Messiah יהושע,
25whom Elohim set forth as an atonement, through belief in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His tolerance Elohim HAD PASSED OVER THE SINS THAT HAD TAKEN PLACE BEFORE,
26TO DEMONSTRATE AT THE PRESENT TIME HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAT HE IS RIGHTEOUS AND DECLARES RIGHTEOUS THE ONE WHO HAS BELIEF IN (YESHUA/JESUS) יהושע.
