Micah 4:1But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD(YHWH) shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. 2And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD(YHWH), and to the house of the God of Jacob; and HE WILL TEACH US HIS WAYS, AND WE WILL WALK IN HIS PATHS; FOR THE LAW SHALL GO FORTH OF ZION, AND THE WORD OF THE LORD(YHWH) FROM JERUSALEM.(KJV)
The law went forth from Jerusalem when the Spirit was poured out on Pentecost, and as we draw near Mt.Zion, heavenly Jerusalem, we are taught His ways through His Spirit.
Look also at the following verse in Micah 4:7:
7And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD(YHWH) SHALL REIGN OVER THEM IN MOUNT ZION FROM HENCEFORTH, EVEN FOR EVER. (KJV)
It says that YHWH shall reign over them in Mt Zion forever. This passage directly correlates to what is spoken in the following chapter:
Micah 5:2But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for ME ONE TO BE RULER OVER ISRAEL, WHOSE ORIGINS ARE OF OLD, FROM THE DAYS OF ETERNITY.
Micah 5:2 was fulfilled according to:
Matthew 2:3But Herodus The King heard and he was troubled and all Jerusalem with him. 4And he gathered the Chief Priests and the Scribes of the people together and was asking them, “Where would The Messiah be born?.” 5And they said, “In Bethlehem of Judaea”, for thus it is written in The Prophets: 6″You, Bethlehem of Judea, were not the least among the Kings of Judaea, for from you shall PROCEED THE KING WHO SHALL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.”(APE)
We have such a King who was born in Bethlehem: Yeshua/Jesus.
Also pertaining to Micah 5:2, is that the King/ruler to be born was from “Ancient of Days”, showing without beginning or end…where else do we see this mentioned?
♦Isaiah 44:6Thus says the LORD(YHWH), the KING AND REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, THE LORD(YHWH) OF HOSTS: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me.
♦Rev 1:8“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, who is and was and is to come — the Almighty.
♦Hebrews 7:2and Abraham apportioned to him a tenth of everything. First, his name means “KING of righteousness.” Then also, “KING of Salem” means “KING of peace.” 3Without father or mother or genealogy, WITHOUT BEGINNING OF DAYS OR END OF LIFE, like the Son of God, he remains a priest for all time.
♦Daniel 7:22until the ANCIENT OF DAYS arrived and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for them to possess the kingdom.
He never ruled in the physical realm, nor is He currently. So, it really is a bafflement that so many propose that He somehow will come again to rule in this physical realm, when HE is ALREADY ruling and reigning from Mt. Zion. It is a spiritual kingdom. He did not reign in the physical realm previously, and it was SIN that the people wanted a physical king like the nations when the Israelite’s brought it up to Samuel :
1 Samuel 8:4Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, 5And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: NOW MAKE US A KING TO JUDGE US LIKE ALL THE NATIONS. 6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD(YHWH).
7And the LORD(YHWH) said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, BUT THEY HAVE REJECTED ME, THAT I SHOULD NOT REIGN OVER THEM. 8According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith THEY HAVE FORSAKEN ME, they have forsaken me, and served other gods, SO DO THEY ALSO UNTO THEE. 9Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.(KJV)
And yet, when YHWH came in human flesh, they were still expecting Him to reign over them as an earthly King, however, He made it clear when He stated:
John 18:36Yeshua said to him, “MY KINGDOM IS NOT FROM THIS WORLD; IF MY KINGDOM WERE OF THIS WORLD, my servants would be fighting that I would not have been delivered up to the Judeans, BUT NOW MY KINGDOM IS NOT FROM HERE.” 37Pilate said to him, “You are a King then?” Yeshua said to him, “You have said that I am a King. For this I was born and for this I have come into the world: to testify of the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.”(APE)
They rejected Him as King before, and many rejected Him King when He came in the flesh, and many still reject Him as a King over His Holy Nation(born from ABOVE).
(Makes you stop and think about all those praising an earthly president or voting for one now doesn’t it? That if we are truly citizens of a spiritual nation, with a King that resides over all Heaven and Earth, why would you put your trust in an earthly president(king)? Perhaps a look back at 1 Sam 8:4-9 and some prayer is in order. I myself stopped giving my allegiance to an earthly king in 2008.)
Now, concerning a physical Jerusalem, well, Yeshua stated that there would come a time where we would no longer worship in physical Jerusalem, but rather go to Him to the Jerusalem above in Spirit. Going from a physical King, like David, back to a spiritual, Yeshua Ben David, and from a physical Jerusalem, to a heavenly:
♦John 4:20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, WHEN YE SHALL NEITHER IN THIS MOUNTAIN, NOR YET AT JERUSALEM, worship the Father.(KJV)
♦Hebrews 12:22INSTEAD, YOU HAVE COME TO MOUNT ZION, TO THE CITY OF THE LIVING GOD, THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM. You have come to myriads of angels (BSB)
So, as we draw near to heavenly Jerusalem, His law continues to go forth from Mt.Zion, and dwell in the hearts of men, and teaching us His ways.
John 14:26But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you. (BSB)
A couple of other insightful passages that correlate to “a law going forth” is from Isaiah 2:3 and Isaiah 51:4 :
♦Isaiah 2:3 And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. HE WILL TEACH US HIS WAYS SO THAT WE MAY WALK IN HIS PATHS.” FOR THE LAW WILL GO FORTH FROM ZION, AND THE WORD OF THE LORD FROM JERUSALEM.
♦Isaiah 51:4Pay attention to Me, My people, and listen to Me, My nation; FOR A LAW WILL GO OUT FROM ME, AND MY JUSTICE WILL BECOME A LIGHT TO THE NATIONS; I will bring it about quickly.
Pertaining to Isa 51:4, Are you paying attention to Him? Are you listening? Did you catch that “a law will GO OUT FROM ME”, what poured forth from Yeshua? His Spirit, and what was poured out on Pentecost? The Spirit, which is liken to Rain(Hosea 6:3)and His justice will become a light to the nations.
Okay, so this passage, specifically the latter part, is seen referenced when Mary and Joseph brought Yeshua/Jesus on the eighth day to be circumcised, and the priest Simeon states this concerning Yeshua:
Luke 2:32a LIGHT FOR REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, and for glory to Your people Israel.”
Then concerning His justice we see in Matthew 12:18:
18“Here is My servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and HE WILL PROCLAIM JUSTICE TO THE NATIONS.
(And if you want to look into WHO that SERVANT is…well YHWH tells you in Isa 43:10)
Yeshua is the LIGHT, and He is also the righteous SEED, and like a plant, when it dies, it’s seed falls to the ground to then regenerate more life. When Yeshua gave up His Spirit, it was ripe to be planted into the hearts of men…thus when the Living Water came from Jerusalem so His Spirit poured forth and went out at Pentecost. The Rain came to water the seed, and gave light for it to grow…in the hearts of men.

John 12:23But Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24Truly, truly, I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a seed; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
Just like the law of the covenant went forth on Pentecost at Mt.Sinai, it then went forth from Mt.Zion, which is why we go to Mt.Zion, not Mt. Sinai. This is why no physical law will go forth from a physical place called Jerusalem, as this passage was fulfilled 2,000 years ago when the Spirit was poured out; and the nations still go forth to the “mountain of YHWH, to the House of the Elohim of Jacob(The Whole House of Jacob-Israel/Isaac/New Covenant), and let Him teach us His Ways(through His Spirit), and let us walk in His paths….” (Micah 4:2)
Hebrews 12:18For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, 19And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: 20(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: 21And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.(KJV)
We have access to His Kingdom through His Spirit, the deposit of the SEED, that helps us to grow and understand His ways. Let us continue to go to Mt.Zion, and His law(Spirit) continue to go forth into the hearts of men, and our wonderful King who teaches us His ways, and rules and reigns FOREVER!
