I love the Word of Yah…I love how I study one area, and then the Spirit of Yah leads me in a different area, and I am left standing in just utter awe, and brings tears of joy….I will share with you all:
I came across this:
Matthew: 4:12And יהושע, having heard that Yoḥanan had been put in prison, withdrew into Galil.
13And leaving Natsareth, He came and dwelt in Kephar Naḥum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zeḇulun and Naphtali,
14TO FILL WHAT WAS SPOKEN BY YESHAYAHU(ISAIAH) THE PROPHET SAYING,
15“Land of Zeḇulun and land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Yardĕn, Galil of the gentiles –
16THE PEOPLE WHO SAT IN DARKNESS SAW A GREAT LIGHT, AND UPON THOSE WHO SAT IN THE LAND AND SHADOW OF DEATH, LIGHT AROSE TO THEM.” (Quoting from Isa 9:1-2)
17From that time יהושע began to proclaim and to say, “Repent, for the reign of the heavens has drawn near.”(ISR 98)
I read this about three times, and I just was like, Yah you are Awesome!
Let me repeat verse 16 again:
16THE PEOPLE WHO SAT IN DARKNESS SAW A GREAT LIGHT(YESHUA), AND UPON THOSE WHO SAT IN THE LAND AND SHADOW OF DEATH, LIGHT(YESHUA) AROSE TO THEM
I then went to Isa 9 to read the chapter finding out I had already highlighted verse 2…lol…which is Matthew 4:16 and when I came to verse 4…I just was filled with so much JOY!
Isa 9:1But there is no gloom upon her who is distressed, as when at first He humbled the land of Zeḇulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward more heavily oppressed her, by the way of the sea, beyond the Yardĕn, in Galil of the nations.
2The people who were walking in darkness have seen a great light; upon those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death a light has shone.
3You shall increase the nation; You shall make its joy great. They shall rejoice before You, as in the joy of harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.
4For You shall break the yoke of his burden and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Miḏyan.
Why? Because….of these verses:
Matthew 11:28“Come to Me(Yeshua), all you who labour and are burdened, and I shall give you rest.
29“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble in heart, and you shall find rest for your beings.
30“For My yoke is gentle and My burden is light.”
Which are very special verses to me…since these were the ones He spoke to me the night I cried out to Him and I became sober from alcohol and my heavy yoke was broke, and I was born again…..11 1/2 years ago…I was once one of those who sat in darkness, until a Great Light arose to me.
It is these moments of intimacy, that no one can take from me…As I know I have a Father that loves me, and speaks to my heart….what a wonderful Father I have…Praise YAH!
