A Tale of the 2 Covenants/2 Israels (Part 2)

The Old Covenant was a type/shadow to lead to Yeshua our Mediator, His Body as the Temple, His Perfect Sacrifice, and an eternal inheritance.  In order for the Second Covenant (Issac/Spirit) to properly inherit, then the First Covenant (Ishmael/Flesh) had to be cast out. This is why the Flesh is nailed to the Cross. Partaking in the Bread of Defilement

Gen 3: 6And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, and she took of its fruit and ate. And she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Many, while believing that the food they are partaking in is good and seems pleasant to the eyes, is actually instead rotten to the core and infested with the eggs of flies. Those who are wise in their own eyes, and seek after gnosis (‘knowledge’), free-fully and willfully bite off more than they can chew, as the food they lust after fulfills the hunger within them. They in turn will be led down a path of destruction: Continue reading “Partaking in the Bread of Defilement”

Whose Food, and Whose Altar are you Eating From?

When the Spirit was poured out on Pentecost, it was no longer dwelling in the temple according to Moses; a temple made with hands, with dead stones. Rather, it went into the tabernacle of men, making up the Body(Dwelling/Tabernacle of the Living God) with living stones.

Eph 2:20having been built upon the foundation of the emissaries and prophets, יהושע (Yeshua/Jesus) Messiah Himself being chief corner-stone, 21in whom all the building, being joined together, grows into a set-apart Dwelling Place in יהוה(YHWH), 22in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of Elohim in the Spirit.(ISR 98)

So, one would have to ask, when the physical temple was still standing, who exactly were the physical sacrifices being offered to? And whose food, and whose altar are you eating from?

The Living Temple

The purpose of animal sacrifice was the temporary atonement for sin under the old covenant. It was a foreshadow to the Perfect Sacrifice and perfected atonement for sin through Yeshua who is YHWH/God come in the flesh. When Messiah was crucified and presented His Body as a Living Sacrifice, the Perfect Passover Lamb, it nullified physical sacrifices. Continue reading “The Living Temple”

Wormwood: Partaking in the Bitter Waters that flow from the Heart

In the book of Rev(ch 8) it talks of a third of the waters becoming “wormwood”, and many men dying. Wormwood is interpreted as “intense bitterness”, so are we looking for literal waters that are becoming bitter, or rather waters becoming bitter from within our own heart? Is it also perhaps a curse that comes upon us when we walk according to our own ways?

We are all liken to clay earthen vessels. A vessel is used for a great many things, one of the things it is made for, is to hold water.

Depending on the water source, what is poured into the vessel, will also be poured out.  For those who have been crucified with Messiah, partake in the Living Water, and out of them should flow the Spirit.

However, within earthen vessels, it is also possible for a pure water source to be poured into it, but becomes contaminated, due to bitter waters dwelling already within it. It is one thing to be a poured out offering and to pour into others; however, what is being poured out from another to another, should be the same water source; the same Spirit.
